Well after some iffy weather forecasts beforehand, Sunday morning came and while the weather was cold and windy, there was no snow or ice after all. We were so glad the weather held up so our friends could travel safely.
We hustled all morning and our first guest arrived at 12:15 pm. It was steady from that time on and there were times when you couldn't move in the front hall and the front parlor where the refreshments were! We had lots of "first timers" which was fun! It was a long day and didn't end till about 9:30 pm when the last of the food was put away. Truly one of our best open houses with over 80 visitors stopping by throughout the day!
