The Last of the Cookie Baking
Today I made decorated sugar cookies, a tradition that goes way back to the days when I needed a chair to stand on to reach the countertop! Many a December found me in a pink tutu smearing icing on sugar cookies! For the third year in a row, my neighbor Rosie came down to spend the afternoon helping me decorate the cookies. I got them all cut out and baked this morning and managed to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies at the same time! Rosie and I spent a good 2 hours icing cookies and coating them with colored sprinkles! Mom arrived and helped us finish up or we'd probably still be in the kitchen! I think I make too many!
Tim was the official taste taster once again and gave two thumbs up!
The kitchen is finally cleaned up and the cookies are ready and waiting along with others for our annual open house tomorrow!

Ah, my favorite cookies...those look yummy as usual! Hope you have a wonderful open house today--I am sorry to miss it!
Awww, we only have Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough in Canada!!! I think it's great that you are continuing a childhood tradition. Happy holidays!
