Moving Day!

Today was the big day! I arrived at the old Emery's location bright and early this morning. It took longer than they anticipated to finish getting the building prepped today and moved off the lot but once they got going it went fast! I was able to take a lot of video and get a lot of pictures even as it moved down the main roads! Tim wasn't able to get off work early so he missed the entire thing. I was so glad I was able to see it arrive on our property because they needed me to juggle still juggle vehicles. I didn't get to see it make the final landing on our back lot as I had to get to work but I heard all went well. So, now the restoration begins and hopefully a permanent location will be found in time!

Ok, Ok... so it's just a TAD higher off the ground than we thought it would be... it's STILL an eye-catcher of sorts, isn't it? :]

Yes, dear, something like that! Sigh....

I guess I didn't realize it would be up on blocks. Anyway, I know the group that worked on saving the building really appreciates you giving them a 'parking spot' for a couple years.

Yeah, Ann, neither did I! I thought that while it wouldn't have a poured foundation, it would have a concrete block foundation on the grass!

They couldn't put it on a foundation.

Why you ask?

If they had, Tim and you, would become the new owners of that building.

Indiana law states, possession is 9-10's of the law.

Your land, your ice cream building.
