Birthday Flowers

I came home last Thursday from work to find a beautiful bouquet of my favorite flowers from Tim! He gave them to me PRE-birthday because he said I'd had such a stressful week. What a sweetheart! He was so proud of himself when he told me that he'd even ordered them ahead this time!

Yard Sale

Mom's annual neighborhood yard sale was last Saturday. It's always the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend which is a little inconvenient. We decided to participate anyway and in the end it was well worth it. I finally got away around noon from our sale and hit the other ones in the neighborhood and the next neighborhood over too!

Japanese Restaurant

We tried Kansai in Clarksville last week while dad was visiting and it was excellent! The chef put on a great show for us and everyone had a great time!

Be Prepared for Some Extreme Cuteness

Ah, another cute shot of Mr. Cute himself! He could just barely stay awake as he hung slightly over the edge of the staircase banister last night. Fortunately, Tim had a camera in hand and was able to snap a few pictures!

Notice the black plastic hung over the railing now so that Mr. Cute can't practice his balancing act....it's a long way down.

Estate Sale

A couple of Fridays ago mom and I got up early and headed over to Louisville to this estate sale. They had already given out 30 numbers by the time we arrived! It was pouring down rain but fortunately there was a heavy tarp that was covering the front porch and driveway area so we were able to stand outside and not get too wet! Masses of humanity and dealers arrived and everyone was really crammed under there along with all of the overflow that was displayed out there.

Everyone squeezed their way in and quickly filled up the packed and jammed house. I found about 2 boxes and 2 bags of goodies for my etsy shop. I really had to dig though and sure could have used a flashlight! The house was described as a hoarder's house and I sure believe it!

After the sale, mom and I hit a few thrift stores and collectible stores and scored some more goodies. Course that's the fun part! Sorting through it, cleaning it up and putting it away is the not so fun part!
