Happy Vintage Valentine's Day

Thought I'd share some of my collection! Love the old valentines still in their original boxes or uncut books! I have just a couple of the old cardboard counter displays advertising candy and such. My mom is the proud owner of the big Schrafft's heart! I've recently added to my vintage valentines, working them into a glass display case along with plastic candy containers, heart shaped candy boxes and vintage seals!

Afternoon Photo Shoot

It all started with the February Scrapbook Lovers Dream Kit. I completed three 12 x 12 layouts and the idea of a mini album was still swirling in my head! So I actually started the album with no pictures! I needed generic photo shoot style pictures with a Valentine's Day/love theme so off we went yesterday afternoon tripod in tow to get at least 15 good pictures! We went down to the Riverfront in New Albany and set up shop! It was the most perfect day! A little windy but we were willing to put up with some wind to have 70 degrees in February! Over 100 pictures later we came home with mud covered shoes and a little windblown to boot but laughing and happy to discover we had taken a lot of good pictures!

During the ice storm, I managed to whip up two layouts. Just two but that's still two more done! They are from the 4th of July last year.

Vintage Valentines Galore

I have spent most of the day adding even more vintage valentines to my etsy shop! Some are groupings I have put together and others are singles...special ones such as mechanical, German and honeycomb! Take a stroll over to grandmothersattic!
